QUESTION:
I have been asked to evaluate my Dean. I am wondering if this evaluation will be anonymous? I am concerned about possible workplace repercussions from giving a truthful evaluation if I am identifiable.
ANSWER:
Dear Concerned Faculty Member,
TRUFA has received an answer to your question from the Provost & Vice-President Academic, Dr. Christine L. Bovis-Cnossen. It is as follows:
The only person who knows the names of those who responded is Lianne, my Executive Assistant.
TRUFA realizes that this can create a situation where faculty members are worried about expressing their true observations in their evaluations. If this is the case in your situation, we urge you to share your responses with TRUFA. That way, we can include them in the TRUFA evaluation that we will submit.
