Equity Diversity & Inclusion Trainer

Contract Project Position:  Equity, Diversity and Inclusion – Trainer

1. Develop a curriculum, including teaching materials and equity, diversity, and inclusion guidance documents to strengthen the competencies of the Thompson Rivers University Faculty Association (TRUFA) Executive Board and Stewards Committee on TRUFA’s human rights related law and policy obligations.

The curriculum and guidance documents should focus on the following Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) themes:

  • Discrimination, including systemic and institutional discrimination,
  • Equity and Equality, including substantive equality,
  • Accommodation, accessibility, and barrier removal,
  • Protection of groups under section 15 of the Charter and related jurisprudence.

2. Deliver a workshop to the TRUFA Executive Board and Stewards Committee on the themes outlined in the curriculum and guidance documents.

The consultant must be able to facilitate the workshop with the TRUFA Executive Board and Stewards Committee prior to May 2020 and have extensive experience in EDI consultation and workshop facilitation.
